Shared Branching

Co-Op Shared Branching

We now have 5,000 branches nationwide!

Don’t live or work near a BTCU branch? No problem! Now, you can visit a Shared Branch to do your banking.

Through the CO-OP Shared Branch network, we’re partnered with other credit unions (more than 5,000 nationwide) to offer service and support to our members – giving you more direct access to your money!

How does it work? Your membership and accounts remain at BTCU, but you can access them anywhere, by visiting the affiliated Shared Branch location that’s near your home, work, or favorite vacation spot.

You can make deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfer money, check balances and more!

Whenever you visit a CO-OP Shared Branch* location, you must disclose the following:

  • Credit Union Name: Building Trades Credit Union (MN)
  • Your BTCU member number (no suffixes)
  • A current, valid driver’s license or government-issued ID card

Also, CO-OP Shared Branches are allowed to limit cash withdrawals to $500 per day, though not all do.
