What time does my direct deposit post on pay day?

Direct deposits will vary by the employer. However, you could set up an eAlert which will notify you when your direct deposit posts to your account. Follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Log in to Online Banking
  2. Click the “Info Center” link near the top of the page and select “eAlert Subscriptions”.
  3. Create a new “ACH Deposit” eAlert subscription.

Can I make deposits at other credit unions and have it credited to my accounts?

There are several ways you can make a deposit into your BTCU account:

  1. Use Mobile Deposit within the BTCU App.
  2. Visit a BTCU branch.
  3. Visit a Shared branch.
  4. Mail your deposit to BTCU, 12080 73rd Ave N, Maple Grove, MN 55369
  5. Drop off your deposit in our night depository located in Maple Grove or Shoreview.

Is there a minimum number of deposits I have to make into a checking account each month?

No. There is no minimum number of deposits you have to make into a Union-Built Free Checking account.

Does BTCU offer scholarships?

Yes! Each year, BTCU awards a total of $10,000 in scholarships to 25 members.

Scholarship applications can be found, starting January 1, on our website by searching the word “scholarship” in the search bar of our website.

We currently do not offer student loans. However, you may utilize our credit card, a home equity loan, or a line of credit to help with education expenses.

Once we have all required information including a complete application and verification of your income, approvals can usually be provided the same day.

Can anyone join the credit union?

Anyone who is a member or an employee of one of the unions or affiliated groups listed on our website is eligible for membership at BTCU. An eligible person’s immediate family members and members of their household are also eligible to join.

A person who retired while in the field of membership remains eligible for memberships after retiring. The spouse of a person who died while eligible for membership may also become a member of BTCU.

How do I enroll in online banking?

It’s easy to enroll in Online Banking. Follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Visit our Online Banking login page.
  2. Click the First-time User? link.
  3. Enter your account number and Social Security Number.
  4. Click Continue once you are finished.

How do I enroll in Online Bill Pay?

Simply log in to Online Banking and select the “Pay & Transfer” link at the top of the page. Then, follow the enrollment screens.

Once you are enrolled you can even pay your bills inside mobile banking. Download the BTCU Mobile Banking App from your App Store today!
